Pinpointing the Most Innovative Business Ideas for Your Brand

Michael Hemsworth
September 6th, 2013
When it comes to inciting the most innovative business ideas, there are no strict guidelines to follow to get optimal results; it’s a combination of a variety of factors that come in several shapes and forms. With that said, there are certain ways that a brand can help to foster a more formalized brainstorming environment that are quite simple to incorporate and likely won’t stray to far from your brand’s original protocol. To do so, there are three main characteristics that can help to provide the most innovative business ideas for your team:

Customer profile: It stands to say that not knowing who your brand’s customers are can prove to be problematic down the road, so identifying the target demographics is an ideal first step. If the demographics have already been identified, go back to the beginning and start again; knowing who is coming to your brand for a certain product or service is the best way to identify ways to keep them coming back and attract others

Office design: An office should be an extension of the kind of work that’s being done, so adopting a more collaborative office space can help to encourage team members to think bigger and more openly than if they’re simply limited by their surroundings. Instead of having individual work stations, consider grouping off employees to several large desks that encourages everyone to talk about what they’re thinking or get clarification on something that’s confusing.

Socialization: If there's a distinct lack of socialization in an office, then the ideas can be stunted before they’re even given the chance to flourish. Put feedback sessions in place between team members and encourage constant collaboration between them so the process can be supercharged instead of slow moving. Some of the most innovative business ideas have come out of teamwork, so recognizing the power it can have for your brand is important.
